Her clients include Stanford University Research Compliance Office, eHarmony, and Papa John's Pizza. Alisa is a sought-after speaker, having spoken several times not only at San Diego HR Roundtable, but also the National SHRM Annual Conference. Meredith Gronroos, Editor of the SDHR Newsletter and Social Media Manager

One of the benefits of membership in San Diego H.R. Roundtable is access to the community social media groups, which include a members-only LinkedIn group, an all-access Facebook page, and a Twitter feed. I am the editor of the San Diego H.R. Roundtable newsletter, which publishes every month, but I am also responsible for curating the social media content. Since I’m not a H.R. professional, I use a wide variety of sources, some social media truisms, and feedback from the SDHR community and leaders to choose the content you see every week. The SDHR mission is to “help raise the value of HR Professionals in San Diego,” and my goal is to do that by informing you, entertaining you, and connecting you to the SDHR community.

Hanin Smith, Executive Vice President at San Diego HR Roundtables

Hanin Smith is a skilled HR professional with an aptitude for process and systems implementation, analysis and management. In her "previous life" she was a broadcast journalist working for local news and lifestyle cable networks and more recently, she's contributed to the advancement of HR
operations in emerging and mature organizations in the high-tech industry. Despite demonstrated competency in various HR functions, her strengths fall on the "techie" side of the HR spectrum, with strong expertise in HRIS implementation, payroll administration and policy formulation and
application. On the personal front, Hanin is a proud mother of a "three-n-ager" (sassy 3 year old daughter), and between mothering and working, she enjoys her husband Greg's company, the occasional Bar Method class, and good old fashioned time with friends. We asked Hanin some questions about human resources, her current role, and her plans for San Diego HR Roundtable.
