Elisabeth Waltz, MA

Elisabeth Waltz is a recent transplant from Chicago, where she participated in the business community as a full-time HR Specialist as well as a part-time volunteer member of the Board of Directors for the Organization Development Network of Chicago. She has a B.A. in English from Wheaton College (MA) and an M.A. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, as well as PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.

Elisabeth comes from a non-profit organization at the intersection of healthcare and education (testing medical students, to be precise) where she provided HR leadership for a fast-growing office of 50+ employees. She handled all functional areas of HR, with focus on recruiting and onboarding, performance management and training, policy and procedure development, and program implementation and management. She is passionate about organizational development and corporate social responsibility, and particularly about any opportunity to unite the two.

We asked Elisabeth some questions about human resources, what kind of opportunity she’s looking for in San Diego, and her membership in San Diego HR Roundtable.

Jennifer is passionate about developing processes, crafting leadership strategies, and building future HR visions that honor an organization’s potential as well as its present. Her development experience, executive leadership background and mad social media skills made Jennifer a natural choice for Julie Magnuson when the founder and former President of SDHR Roundtable sought to hand off the baton. As part of San Diego HR Roundtable’s continuing focus on members and member services, Board Member Barbara Pierre recently took on the newly-created role of Membership Director.  The member experience will benefit greatly from Barbara’s long career in administrative management consulting and operations management for San Diego’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. Barbara joined the San Diego HR Roundtable Board of Directors in October 2012, and is eager to take on a more active role in the San Diego HR Roundtable community.
